When it comes to window coverings, one of the most difficult considerations can be the need to balance privacy with a desire to maintain a view to the outside. While in some rooms, like bathrooms and bedrooms, ensuring privacy will be an imperative, in others – like kitchens or living areas – you may be interested in more flexible options.
Here are some of the things to consider when balancing privacy and aspect.
Traditionally, blinds and shades have a top-down operation, which means they roll or fold up at the top of the window. While this is ideal for letting the maximum amount of light in during daylight hours, it also means there’s no ‘in between’ option – that is, they’re either open or closed.
